Don't Give Up, Life's Too Precious

So, when things are not going well and you feel like the world is on your shoulder, remember this, you have the power within you to change everything, and transform your life. Take each day in your stride and remember life is precious and each day offers a new opportunity.

I have devoted myself to a life of personal development, learning and teaching, overcoming my own adversities on my journey. I discovered something when looking through Google analytical, that surprised me, and worried me a little. I discovered that a particular phrase was attracting the most visitors, by far, from Google's search engine, on to my blog. This phrase was 'never give up'.

I have written two articles that have generated these visits; the first and the second . I can only imagine the desperation that people were feeling who stumbled upon my blog. I love people. It is an honour to help them. Everything I have done in my life has brought me to this situation; I have a duty to provide a light for people to be able to follow to help them to get out of their deepest, darkest tunnels. They're reading my words so this brings a tremendous responsibility because I'm touching their lives. I feel a responsibility to them; I feel that I'm accountable to them.

I know I have no right to tell someone what to do, but I do have an obligation to inform others of what I believe are the best solutions available, and to let them take it from there.

There are no doubts that life can be really tough. More and more people are struggling against all odds. It must look far easier to them to just give up and surrender, rather than suffer any longer the adversity that comes with holding on, trying to battle through. I do believe there's a light at the end of every tunnel, but you have to have the fortitude to hold out and keep on trying.

It is evident that so many of you out there feel under such intense pressure that you are desperately trying to hold yourself together. What is more frightening is Britain has one of the highest suicide rates in Europe. That is giving up on life with a definiteness that cannot be overturned.

'Give up' is defined as the loss of hope, admitting defeat and the act of surrendering with no will to fight again. I'm using this platform to tell you: never give up!

Life is packed with so many challenges. You've got to do your best to stay on top of each situation despite its difficulty.

Thomas A. Edison said: "The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."

Life is precious, it is the most valuable thing we possess, and it has to be cared for and lived to the fullest. You have to fully use your God given talents, discover your potential, and grasp every opportunity that comes your way. You have to chase your dreams, just never quit. Don't waste your life away.

I can't even imagine what difficulties any of you are feeling, but I know without a doubt you are bottling up all sorts of emotional tension:

Family problems

A loss of a loved one

A marriage break up

The closure of your business

Feeling distressed about a problem not knowing where to turn for support

Feeling agonizing guilt or shame.

A negative body image

Debilitating stress

Haunted by your past

This list can just go on and on.

"When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." (Harriet Beecher Stowe)

I want you to realise that every day is an opportunity for you to live your life to its fullest no matter where you are right now. You must grasp each day and make the most of it. Once you begin to understand and realize what you are capable of, the whole world changes. There are untold examples of people who have turned their lives around from unbelievably bad situations. They just never gave up, or stopped believing.

"Somehow I can't believe there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secret of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C's. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy and the greatest of these is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably." (Walt Disney)

One of my favourite sayings is: "This too shall pass. Nothing lasts forever, even your current situation, whatever it is, won't be with you eternally, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel."

When the world says "give up", hope whispers: "Try it one more time".

So wherever you are in your life right now, no matter how close you are to just giving up, realise you don't have a crystal ball to predict your future, so you may just be around the corner from making the breakthrough that you so desire.

"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. " (Thomas Edison)

So, when things are not going well and you feel like the world is on your shoulder, remember this, you have the power within you to change everything, and transform your life. Take each day in your stride and remember life is precious and each day offers a new opportunity.

Once again, don't give up on life. As long as you never give up and never stop trying to find innovative solutions, you can overcome your challenges.
