Mark Hews

Mark joined Ecclesiastical Insurance in April 2009 as Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc and was appointed Group Chief Executive in May 2013.

Ecclesiastical is a specialist insurer of charities, the education, care and faith sectors, heritage buildings and fine art. Founded in 1887 to provide insurance for the Anglican Church, it now offers a wide range of commercial insurances, as well as home insurance, selling through brokers and directly. Ecclesiastical also offers a range of ethically screened investment funds.

Prior to joining Ecclesiastical Mark was CEO of M&S Life and on the Board of HSBC Life. He has also worked at Aviva Healthcare as Finance Director and, before that, as an insurance and investment consultant at Deloitte (formerly Bacon and Woodrow).
