Videographer who works with Plan International in the Philippines

Michael Angelo Suarez is a videographer who works with Plan International in the Philippines, recording and sharing the stories of children affected by poverty, conflict and natural disasters. The day before Typhoon Haiyan hit, Michael travelled with Plan to Salcedo in Eastern Samar to document the community’s preparations for the unprecedented Category 5 storm. Michael, who hails from the Philippines, was in Eastern Samar, an area badly affected by Typhoon Haiyan, before, during and after it hit.

The ashphalt had risen up together like mountain ranges combining - the force required to do that is incredible.
