Saima Alvi

Vice chair of the British Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester

Saima Alvi is 48 and lives in Cheshire with her husband and five children. Saima leads on RE in a local secondary school and has just completed an MA in Educational Leadership. She is also the Principal of a local supplementary school as well as being a governor in her daughter’s special needs school. Saima works as the Vice Chair of the British Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester and was recently selected to join a Cohesion Commission panel set up to tackle extremism by the Mayor of Manchester.
