Eddie Redmayne is best known for his movies ‘Les Misérables’, ‘Jupiter Ascending’ and, in particular, ‘The Theory Of Everything’, where he played Professor Stephen Hawking. His portrayal of the physicist has already cleaned up this awards season, earning him a Screen Actor’s Guild Award, a Golden Globe and a Bafta. All signs indicate that he’ll also be taking home an Oscar, over fellow Academy Award nominees Benedict Cumberbatch and Michael Keaton.
Before finding huge success as a film actor, Eddie was also a model, fronting campaigns for Burberry with both Alex Pettyfer and Cara Delevingne.
Away from the limelight, Eddie married his then-fiancée (now wife), Hannah Bagshawe, in what was reportedly a romantic “winter wonderland-themed” wedding at Babington House, in Bath. He and Hannah had been friends since his days studying at Eton.
He’d previously been rumoured to be dating Taylor Swift, who it’s been claimed was in the running to star opposite him in ‘Les Mis’ as Eponine, a role which eventually went to Samantha Barks.
Future projects for Eddie include the upcoming film ‘The Danish Girl’, based on a true story, where he’ll playing the painter Einar Wegener. Amber Heard will be playing the artist’s wife, Oola.
