The mother of Hugh Grant's child was threatened after the film star begun attacking the behaviour of the tabloid press, it has been claimed.
The barrister acting on behalf of 51 phone hacking victims, David Sherborne, told the Leveson inquiry into phone hacking that Tinglan Hong was subject to a barrage of phone calls when Grant appeared on the BBC's Question Time programme.
Sherborne said the woman was told during one phone call: "Tell Hugh Grant he must shut the f**k up".
It was also claimed that when Hong's mother tried to identify the paparazzi hounding her daughter, the photographer tried to run her over.

Sherborne said it was because of these threats that an injunction had been sought to stop people harassing her.
