The New iPad Sold Out

The New iPad Sold Out

Are you dropping/selling/trading-in your old iPad to get one of the new versions announced last week?

Well you'll need to have placed your order already, or get set for long wait, because the new ipad is sold out in every country where the new gadget was released, according to Fox Business.

In the UK, the Apple store lists shipping times as 2-3 weeks from now, and products are limited to two per person.

The new retina-screen tablet was due for release on 16 March.

The delay in online deliveries could mean massive queues at Apple stores like London's Regent Street flagship on Friday, when the new iPad comes into store.

Cynics might say that stocks have been deliberately limited to create the visual buzz of huge queues, but Apple hardly needs to generate any more attention for their market beating tablet.

eBay has experienced a surge in listings for iPad 2, and iPad as sellers try to make some cash before they upgrade.

Last year, the online market site experienced a 443% increase in tablet sales. Over 61,000 devices sold in December 2011 alone while PC sales slumped by 35%.
