Simon Cowell appears to have no plans to distance himself from former flame Sinitta, who has taken to Twitter to reveal that the ‘X Factor’ mogul has asked her to be godmother to baby Eric.
Sinitta, who has remained close to Simon since dating him on-and-off since the ‘80s, shared a snap of herself holding Eric on the social networking site with the caption: “At Mothers Day lunch with Mom, Magdalena,Zac, @JasonJGale @SimonCowell I was asked to be GodMother to Baby Eric !!!X”
Since becoming a father to Eric, Simon has stayed close to Sinitta, and the Syco Records boss even reportedly spent Christmas with her.
Despite remaining close throughout the last 20 years, Simon and Sinitta haven’t been without their problems and last year the ‘So Macho’ singer revealed that she once aborted Cowell’s baby.
Sinitta was stunned when Si announced his girlfriend Lauren Silverman was expecting a child last year, tweeting her shock before telling the Daily Mirror that she “was taken aback and did feel a sense of betrayal”.
So far in 2014, Si and Sinitta appear to be getting their friendship back on track and the US-born singer jetted into London last week to support Cowell at the launch of the ‘X Factor’ themed musical ‘I Can’t Sing’.
