Salford Police Led To Cannabis Farm After Toddler Accidentally Dials 999

Toddler Leads Cops To Parents' Cannabis Farm

Police were alerted to a cannabis farm after an oblivious toddler accidentally dialled 999 from his parents’ phone.

The youngster unwittingly made the emergency call from a house in Little Hulton, Salford.

When the police operator heard a rustling sound and the line was cut off, officers rushed to the address in Salford to investigate the ‘emergency call’ – but smelled the drug as they spoke to the unfortunate occupants on the doorstep on Wednesday evening, Manchester Evening news reported.

They then found nine cannabis plants and what is believed to be a small amount of the cultivated drug in an upstairs room of the property on Bournbrook Avenue.

The child making the call, who was believed to be under age of two, had unwittingly revealed his parents’ illegal operation.

After tweeting the picture of the stash, Greater Manchester Police confirmed a 29-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of cultivating the drug.
