Disney princesses, tattoos and piercings - three things that aren't usually strung together in the same sentence. Until now.

Following the recreation of Disney princesses which emerged to raise awareness of sexual abuse, as well as the artistic impressions of what the princesses would look like in real life; another selection of illustrations has come onto the scene in the form of these modern-day hipster honeys.

From Belle's ombre hair, to Ariel's 'short' shorts and Cinderella's glam rock 'do (plus a fair amount of piercings) - illustrator and digital artist, Emmanuel Viola, has given our favourite Disney heroines a hipster overhaul.

Pay close attention to Snow White's tattoo. It's, um... Dope(y)? Okay, we'll stop.
