A 31-year-old man has pleaded guilty to sexually attacking a horse.
Alan Blackman admitted attacking the animal on 6 August in Redenhall, south Norfolk during a video link appearance at Norwich Crown Court on Monday.
Blackman, of no fixed address, was charged with sex assaults involving a living animal after the incident, which left the horse suffering wounds requiring veterinary treatment.
A court clerk confirmed the married father-of-three will appear in court for sentencing on 23 October.
Judge Stephen Holt called for a psychiatric report to be prepared in the interim.
CCTV images of a man seen at stables prior to the attack were circulated by Norfolk Police after the injured horse was discovered.
The BBC reports Blackman had taken to Facebook after the appeal to protest his innocence.
He allegedly wrote that people were “putting my name to a face which isn’t me".
