The sun is shining and a bank holiday is upon us, which means it’s time to take a break from lockdown life and have a giggle. To help, we’ve rounded up our favourite laugh-out-loud and downright lovely tweets from the week.

Enjoy the long weekend if you’ve got time off work, or take two minutes to laugh at a sausage dog if not – you deserve it.

2. The bride who’s still dancing 

Having your wedding cancelled due to coronavirus sucks, but journalist Anna Silverman hasn’t let it destroy her spirit. The “fuck it” energy in this video is contagious. 

 3. Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s kitchen discos 

If you haven’t yet checked out SEB’s kitchen discos, you need to. Every Friday she goes live on Instagram, singing disco classics alongside the occasional  curveball (see below). Highlights are posted on Twitter.
