Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is now official. After some last minute leaks, the next instalment in the series has now been officially outed following a live reveal by Ubisoft.

The live stream churned out a whole bunch of information about the game including the London setting, the lead characters and the game's 23 October release date.

Launching on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Ubisoft will surely be hoping to reassure fans after the unfortunate stream of bugs that plagued the launch of the actually-not-bad-at-all Assassin's Creed: Unity.

This is the new Assassin. His name is Jacob Frye. Along with his twin-sister Evie the two control a 'Syndicate' or gang in London fighting to even the odds between the poor and the rich.
It's Set During The Industrial Revolution(02 of10)

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate finally brings the series to London, 1868 to be precise. The game occurs at a time when London is going through a period of rapid and painful change. The rich are getting richer while the poor labour away to build the new world.

While the focus is on Jacob at the moment, Ubisoft has confirmed you'll play as both characters. While Jacob's skills lie in brutal hand-to-hand combat, Evie's focus is more calculated and stealthy. The two should make for an interesting contrast in gameplay styles.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate finally has vehicles, or to be more precise: carriages. You'll be able to hijack, ride and leap from carriages as a way to get around the city. Ubisoft also mentions the use of steam trains as a means to get around.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is available for Xbox One and PS4 on 23 October. Ubisoft has listed the PC release date as Autumn 2015 which actually hints that the game will launch on PC before it arrives on consoles.
