Dry Shampoo Can Cause Hair Loss And Make You Bald

Dry Shampoo Could Be Making You Bald

Dry shampoo is many a girls' secret beauty weapon, but some hairdressers and trichologists are warning against overusing it.

If left on too long, the oil-absorbing powder can dry out your hair and give you an itchy, flaky scalp along with pimples, sores and hair loss -including bald patches.

That's because dry shampoo isn't actually designed to be used every day as an alternative to washing, although many of us do use it that way.

So what can you do to avoid any negative side-effects? Only use as a styling product once a week on clean hair, and wash it off shortly after use.

Watch the video above for more information, including one woman's story of how dry shampoo caused her to lose her hair.
