Prince Harry To Serve Healthy Lunches To Half-Term Kids

He'll be heading to a north London youth centre.

Prince Harry will serve food to school children when he visits a half-term holiday activity programme at a north London youth centre.

Harry will tour Roundwood Youth Centre to get an update about the Fit and Fed Campaign which aims to provide children and young people with free activities and a nutritious lunch during school holidays.

Last summer Harry visited East London to learn more about the campaign being run in the London borough of Newham.

At the youth centre in Harlesden the prince will meet young volunteers and coaches from Sport at the Heart, a community sport and wellbeing charity which is part of the campaign, taking part in a handball activator session.

The training will be run by the StreetGames’ Training Academy, and aims to support young people to become sports coaches who can then help out in their local community sport programmes.

Harry will also meet volunteers in the kitchen and serve up a healthy lunch for young children on the half-term programme.

Finally the prince will visit children engaged in games and structured activities outside.

Launched last year, Fit and Fed is a response to the pressing issues of holiday hunger, isolation, and inactivity that many children across the UK experience during the school break.

The campaign brings together community organisations from the StreetGames, Ambition and Sported networks, and last summer was run in 100 disadvantaged neighbourhoods across the country.
