Crete has long been on my top ten list, not least because of my mother's creative thinking when she decided to call me Ariadna, in line with the ancient Greek mythology. I felt like it was about time to go back to the "roots" and took a trip to this popular destination.

All in all, my Spa weekend at OneWorld Retreats was both inspirational and pleasurable. I cannot wait to go back there to join one of the retreats; having experienced a taster of what the place has to offer, I can only imagine how its own healing energy can magnify the retreat experience.

This spring I went to Bali for the second time in the last few months. Last time I left with a heavy sense of unaccomplishment; I didn't quite connect to the place. So I needed to make up for it this time round. Delving into what Bali is all about - all things health & spirituality - felt like the right thing to do. Luckily, there are plenty of places on the island of Gods to do that.

A good yoga retreat to me is not about the intensity of the practice. And not about the amount of international yoga celebrities on the list of teachers. Not even do I expect the team to great me with the Namaste mudra every time they see me.

All of this bliss happened just a few weeks ago but it feels like ages away. That's what London's weather in November does to you - my sunny and humid memories have been washed off by the rain pretty much immediately upon arrival (thank God I've got the photos).
