Daniel Selwyn

Politics student, climate justice advocate, Gooner; not always in that order

Daniel Selwyn is in his final year studying human, social and political sciences at Cambridge University, focusing particularly on the politics of sub-Saharan Africa and the region’s relationship with the international financial institutions. He is currently involved in collaborative research on primary schooling methods, an interest that stems from his own eclectic educational upbringing that included compulsory knitting. At university, he is a prominent member of environmental campaigning and effective altruism groups, taking the Giving What We Can pledge last year. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys following his football team, The Arsenal, loudly from the stands, listening to music and attempting, albeit rather badly, to DJ, getting addicted to a new TV series, and spending time with his friends, family and cats.
