Efrat Peled, Executive Chairman and CEO of Arison Investments, manages a portfolio with a market value in excess of $4 billion. Arison Investments is a global business and philanthropy group owned by Shari Arison. Mrs. Arison was ranked second in the Forbes 2010 list of ‘The World’s Greenest Billionaires’. Arison Investments is a world class privately owned investment company, delivering solid business and financial performance through investing in companies and projects with the principle of sustainability at their core. Where a sustainable approach to a project may not seemingly exist, Arison Investments’ experts help support its creation.

Arison Investments operates in the areas of alternative and renewable energy, finance, infrastructure and water management. This includes a controlling stake in Israel’s largest bank, Bank Hapoalim (market capitalization over $5 billion) and the country’s leading infrastructure and real estate group, Shikun & Binui, which recently completed the world’s largest desalination plant near Tel Aviv. The portfolio also includes Miya, an international company founded by Arison Investments to improve the efficiency of urban water systems, which is currently helping the city of Manila reduce water losses by 400 million gallons per year.

Peled is a member of the Board of Directors for Bank Hapoalim, Salt Industries, Shikun & Binui, Miya and the Ted Arison Family Foundation (TAFF) - the philanthropic arm of Arison Investments.

Peled is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative’s LEAD group – a new flagship program that brings together a select group of accomplished young leaders to develop innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges. She is a member of the World Economic Forum's selective group of Young Global Leaders under 40 and appeared in Forbes ‘World’s 100 Most Powerful Women’ list in 2010. Peled is also a member of the Investment Committee for the Weizmann Global Endowment Management Trust, an endowment of the Weizmann Institute.

Peled holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Kellogg-Recanati, a joint international program of both Northwestern and Tel Aviv Universities. She also holds a BA in Accounting and Economics and a postgraduate diploma in Real Estate Appraisal and Management from Tel Aviv University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
