Eating disorders researcher and activist, feminist, UCL MA Health Humanities

I am an eating disorders researcher and activist and Masters student at UCL in Health Humanities. I research, write and tweet @takeonEDs about eating disorders as someone who has lived through an eating disorder and is passionate about opening up alternative ways of understanding eating disorders. My work focuses on how biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors intersect with one another to shape people's experiences of the world, their bodies, and their interactions with food. Beyond academia and activism, I am an avid podcast and Audiobook listener and enjoy spending my free time exploring and blogging about London's food and restaurant scene for my Instagram, @emmahitsthespot.
