James Harris

Director of Campaigns and Communications for Dignity in Dying

Dignity in Dying campaigns to alleviate unnecessary suffering at the end of life by promoting greater choice, control, protection and access to services – including a change in the law to allow assisted dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults, within strict legal safeguards.
James Harris heads up Dignity in Dying’s campaigns and communications team and has been working on the organisation’s campaigns strategy, media and parliamentary relations for the last four years. Before Dignity in Dying, James worked in a number of roles in Westminster and Whitehall, including Parliamentary Researcher to Tom Harris MP and, during the last round of successful political fund ballots, Deputy Coordinator of the Trade Union Coordinating Committee.
