Head of Policy and Communications, Womankind Worldwide

Lee Webster is Head of Policy and Communications for Womankind Worldwide, and leads their work with decision makers and the public, covering the spectrum of policy, advocacy and communications – from research and policy analysis, to building relationships with UK parliamentarians, supporting women activists from Africa and Asia to advocate internationally, to conveying Womankind’s policy messages to the United Nations, and ensuring that our communications with the world are clear, consistent and convey our feminist principles. Lee is passionate about ending violence against women and girls, ensuring women’s equal participation in the decisions that affect our lives, and promoting women’s full economic rights and equality. She has worked at Womankind since 2011, having previously worked in policy and campaigns on international development, disability rights and maternal health, as well as a three year teaching post in Mozambique. Lee is a feminist, an activist, volunteers to support refugee rights, and is raising a young son to love and respect women and girls.
