Matthew Floyd Jones

Actor, writer, comedian and musician

Born in south-west London and brought up in Surrey, Matthew graduated from the University of Oxford with an exhibition prize (2004), a scholarship (2005), a Full Blue award (2006) and a joint honours degree in Classics and English (2007). He is a former member of the National Youth Music Theatre (2002-3), and a recipient of a diploma in piano from Trinity College London (2003).

Matthew is best-known as one half of acclaimed musical comedy double-act Frisky & Mannish, with whom he has played the West End, the Edinburgh Fringe, the Shepherd's Bush Empire, the Sydney Opera House, the Melbourne Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the New Zealand International Arts Festival, and numerous seasons on the South Bank. The Times has called the act as a "global phenomenon." Matthew's other acting credits include Punch (Edinburgh Fringe), The Threepenny Opera (Oxford Playhouse) and Oklahoma! (Sadler's Wells). Matthew wrote, produced and starred in the short film Too Cabaret (2012), which was nominated for a London Cabaret Award and featured in The Guardian and The Independent.
