Sandy Dhaliwal is a Journalist and DJ from London. She has recently returned home after four years volunteering, travelling and working in Asia and Australia. Starting in 2012, Sandy spent six months in India volunteering in deprived communities. After that she was in Thailand for 18 months, working as a TEFL teacher and a freelance travel writer. Up until recently, Sandy was residing in Australia, working in digital communications and content marketing.

Previously she worked in video production for the award winning digital communications agency MerchantCantos, part of Brunswick Group. Before that she worked at Trinity Mirror Southern, one of the largest newspaper publishers in the UK, in newspaper planning and as an entertainment and lifestyle writer. Currently she is working in PR and marketing communications in the education and not for profit sector.

Specialising in music, lifestyle, travel and ethical issues, Sandy has been published in a number of international, national, regional and online publications including Round The World Experts, BBM Magazine, Wellbeing Magazine, Herald Sun, Living South, The Guide, Angel, The Hill, SW, North Surrey and London Newspapers, South West Londoner, West London and Bucks Newspapers, One Week To Live Magazine and Subba-Cultcha.com.

DJing under the guise One Piece at club nights in London, Sandy can also be found playing everything from hip hop, funk and soul to punk, metal and ska. She also had a brief stint running a hair metal themed club night called Animal (named after her favourite Def Leppard song!).
