Will Hodson

CEO of Platter

Will Hodson is the Founder of Platter, which was started in 2011. He leads the team, focusing on driving new features in the app, liaising with users and building partnerships.

Will’s professional career includes leading projects funded by Telefonica, and Channel 4 on innovation for the public funded campaigns. He was previously a consultant at Deloitte and a highly successful vintage wine salesman in Paris. Through this time he harboured a passion for culinary wonders which led to him running a blog called Cereal Killah.

The Platter app was officially launched in 2012 and born out of Wills passion for food which was originally inspired by the famous prison scene in Goodfellas. Since its official launch Platter has been recognised for a number of awards including winning the TechHub's Battle of the Startups on 2012, Shortlist's competition to find a big startup idea amongst their readership and Digital Shoreditch's Digital Innovation Prize in 2013.

Will describes himself as a remorseless eater of pork and beans ever since spending three months in Brazil. His favourite cookbook is The Moro Cookbook because every page is spattered with soup, sauce or sardine escabeche. When Will isn’t hard at work he can be found at East London food markets sourcing fresh ingredients for his gastronomic ventures.
