As far as celebrity Bottle Cap Challenge attempts go, Gemma Collins’ will not go down among the most successful.
For those who’ve missed the social media trend, the Bottle Cap Challenge has seen Instagram users attempting to kick the lid off an unscrewed bottle top, without knocking the whole thing over.
Following in the footsteps of stars like Justin Bieber and Sophie Turner (mere Z-listers in the shadow of The GC, we’re sure you’ll agree), Gemma shared her attempt on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t exactly seamless.
And when we say that, we mean it was pretty catastrophic from start to finish.
Recording on what looked like the deck of a yacht, Gemma began by getting the name of the challenge wrong, declaring: “It’s the GC and I’m gonna do the Bottle Top Challenge. Or whatever it’s called.”
Gemma then gave her best Wonder Woman twirl, but after kicking up towards the water bottle in question, lost her footing and nearly ended up tumbling over the side of the deck (giving us very vivid Dancing On Ice flashbacks, but let’s not dwell on that).
The former TOWIE star then gave it another go, but ended up kicking the bottle clean over, sending water all over the place.
In a surprising turn of events, Gemma has already been out-diva’ed in the Bottle Cap Challenge by Mariah Carey, who shared her iconic take on the trend last week.
Sorry, Gem. Better luck next time.
