Kate Garraway was left rather embarrassed during Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain, when her attempt at pottery took a decidedly rude turn.

During the show, Kate and showbiz presenter Richard Arnold were seen sitting at a potters’ wheel, in a nod to the iconic scene from Ghost, featuring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.

However, things were already looking a bit… well… let’s be honest, phallic, when they began, with Kate managing to make matters worse, after declaring: “It’s strangely relaxing isn’t it?”

As Richard tried nonchalantly to ignore the very obvious shape of his co-host’s pottery attempt, focussing instead on what was coming up later in the show, Kate eventually cracked, commenting “ooh hello!”, before trying to quickly mould the clay into something a bit more family-friendly - and sending a lot of it flying onto the studio floor in the process.

It seems she was too late, though, as viewers quickly picked up on the hilarious scene...

Fortunately, the pair clearly saw the funny side, as they both struggled to contain their laughs, with Kate declaring: “This is what the stars do!”

The scene put us in mind of a recent segment on This Morning, which saw parents sending in seemingly innocent pictures done by their kids which, for some reason, the show’s presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield seemed very tickled by.
