With Brendan Cole already signed off from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, show bosses can’t afford to lose another professional dancer, but they almost did during Saturday night’s live show, thanks to Ed Balls.
The Labour MP took to the floor with his partner Katya Jones to perform the American Smooth - but it was anything but as Ed came a cropper during a tricky lift.
There really are no words, so we’ll let this do the talking...
Unsurprisingly, Ed found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard again, although his score of 18 out of 40 was a two-point improvement on last weekend’s Paso Doble.
And as some viewers pointed out, if he does find himself in Sunday’s dance-off, he’ll have to attempt that lift again...
Craig Revel Horwood described his performance as “the antithesis of smooth”, while Bruno told him: “One thing is for sure, you are never going to join the Royal Ballet. That was a ride that almost ended in disaster.”
Ed’s fate will be revealed on Sunday night’s results show on BBC One at 7.15pm, when one more couple will be eliminated from the competition.
