Running a marathon is no mean feat – but running a marathon having given birth eight months previously is a whole new ball game.

One woman did this at the London Marathon yesterday – and was interviewed by BBC Sport at mile 12 of the 26-mile route. Not only has she recently given birth to a tiny human, she also stopped to breastfeed her baby along the way.

What a woman.

Had a baby eight months ago. Stopping along the way to breastfeed her baby.

Legend.

Absolute legend! I ran in 2017. Also had a baby 8 months ago (on weds) and struggling to get back into running let alone a marathon!

And the mum inspired many other people, too.

I am so inspired by the people running the London marathon. One woman running gave birth 8 months ago and is stopping a couple of times to breastfeed her baby. Absolutely unreal

There’s a lady running the marathon who gave birth 8 months ago and is stopping throughout the course of the race to breastfeed. Another man is running barefoot. So many amazing people running the marathon today for brilliant causes. Heros 💕 #LondonMarathon
