South African Activist and Singer Johnny Clegg died on Tuesday. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015. Clegg became fascinated with Zulu language, music and culture as a teen, spending time with Zulu migrant workers in Johannesburg. Using his music to defy Apartheid bans on mixed race performance, Clegg brought his cross-over style of music to the international stage.
Pop star Ed Sheeran released a new album, No. 6 Collaborations Project, comprised of 16 collaboration tracks. Joining forces with superstars like Stormzy, Cardi B, Eminem, Justin Bieber and many more, Sheeran reaches across many musical genres. Sheeran was named the fifth richest celebrity in the world by Forbes this week.
