How to Lose the Treadmill and Alienate the Crunch Machine

These days it seems we are all looking for the next best bit of fitness equipment to do our exercise for us, whether it be a treadmill, crunch machine, wobbly shoes, or a vibrating platform. I mean I don't know how often you do squats in a constant earthquake, but I don't see the point to be honest.

These days it seems we are all looking for the next best bit of fitness equipment to do our exercise for us, whether it be a treadmill, crunch machine, wobbly shoes, or a vibrating platform. I mean I don't know how often you do squats in a constant earthquake, but I don't see the point to be honest.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter how many pieces of equipment that turn into a clothes horse in your house or fitness DVDs that end up staying on the shelf you've got, you have to take responsibility for your own actions. As the founder of Smash The Fat Fitness & Fat Loss Boot Camps I'm here to tell you, I CAN'T MAKE YOU THIN, even though some people claim that they can. No one else is going to do it for you, you and you alone are the only one who can positively change you.

It's pretty tough to accept that you're responsible for your actions as that includes all of the health and fitness mistakes that you've made up to this point, but personally I find it a liberating notion. It means that you can make the most out of your life. If you want to you can decide that you will endeavour to become a bikini model or just not to drink during the week! Remember whenever you point the finger at someone else there are 3 fingers pointing right back at you...

...and as Michael Jackson said:

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror (Ooh!)

I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways (Ooh!)

And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer

If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place

Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make A Change

The naughty little truth that the mainstream fitness industry doesn't like to talk about is that health isn't just for the beach or for your honeymoon, it's for life. We've got to keep on top of it until we leave this Earth. Of course you don't have to, but having good health and a strong foundation of fitness is probably a good idea and brings insurmountable benefits to your life, by just eating a little less crap and moving your body regularly. The key is to find something that is fun, supportive and motivating to get you to where you want to be and to stay there.
