"This time I have not been able to talk her out of it."
It’s been nearly three years since Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was imprisoned by Iranian authorities. Nazanin’s husband, Richard Ratcliffe, has campaigned tirelessly to have her freed and returned home, all while their daughter Gabriella grows up in Iran with her grandparents.
It is her 40th birthday today.
The 40-year-old mum was jailed in 2016.
'It will be a best present for the country if Nazanin is home by Christmas.'
Richard Ratcliffe says Matthew Hedges is "clearly innocent" and Foreign Office should be vocal in such "spurious political cases".
