Freddie Starr has admitted that he did meet the woman who is accusing him of molesting her when she was 14, after Channel 4 unearthed footage showing him appearing alongside her on Jimmy Savile's BBC show Clunk Click, but still strongly denies any wrongdoing.
The comedian previously said he'd never met her on the show and refuted all allegations that he touched Karin Ward, now 54, inappropriately.

Lawyer Dean Dunham released a statement to Channel 4 on behalf of Starr on Monday.
It said: "In respect of Karin Ward this was not a name that Freddie could remember and therefore had no recollection of meeting her. It would now appear from seeing footage of a Clunk Click show aired in 1974 that in fact Freddie was mistaken and therefore that he had in fact been on a Jimmy Savile show.
"However, this does not detract away from the fact that Freddie vigorously denies the awful allegation that has been made by Karin Ward, which despite this footage is still totally unsupported and uncorroborated by any other evidence."
Last week Karin Ward, who waived her right to anonymity, alleged that Starr molested her during the filming of Clunk-Click, when she was just 14.
During an ITV documentary she said: "I rebuffed him and he humiliated me in front of everyone in the dressing room by saying something really unkind about my lack of breasts, which to a 14-year-old girl was just awful."
The allegations came to light after a High Court judge refused to continue an injunction granted to the Liverpool comedian to prevent publication of what he says is a libellous allegation.
Starr recently spoke out against the claims, telling the Daily Mirror that the allegation that he joined Savile and Gary Glitter in a dressing room and groped a girl of 14 was an “utter lie”.
He said: “I was sick to the stomach when I heard that. It is disgusting and it never happened.”
