Nick Clegg had a lot of jokes prepared for his second debate with Nigel Farage on Wednesday night. Having seen to be too focused on figures and details last week, the Lib Dem leader came out swinging. This, however, is one of the worst jokes ever made by a politician. And the bar is pretty low.
Clegg, you see, is the leader of the party of staying "in" the European Union. And Farage has said nice things about Vladimir Putin. Geddit?
