'James Bond' Actor Pierce Brosnan Lays Into 'Spectre', But Praises Daniel Craig

Pierce Brosnan Definitely Isn't A Fan Of 'Spectre'

‘Spectre’ might well have received largely positive reviews when it was finally released last month, but one man who definitely wasn’t impressed is ‘James Bond’ actor, Pierce Brosnan.

The former 007 has laid into the franchise’s latest instalment in a new interview, claiming it was too long and didn’t have a strong enough story.

Speaking to HitFlix, Pierce revealed his disappointment, explaining: “I was looking forward to it enormously, [but] I thought it was too long.

However, Pierce did have something good to say about the film, praising his ‘Bond’ successor, Daniel Craig.

“He’s a mighty warrior, and I think he found a great sense of himself in this one with the one-liners and a nice playfulness there. Just get a tighter story, and he’ll have another classic.”

Daniel certainly implied that he wasn’t the biggest ‘Spectre’ fan himself, when he remarked during an interview that he’d rather “slash his wrists” than play James Bond again, though he later clarified that he might well return for a future outing in the role.

‘Spectre’ marks his fourth time he’s played the iconic role of the MI5 secret agent, making his debut in 2006’s ‘Casino Royale’.
