Helen George achieved a near-perfect score in Saturday night’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ live show.
She and her professional partner, Aljaž Skorjanec, performed a Viennese Waltz to Etta James’s ‘At Last’, and had praise heaped on them by the judges, who awarded them 39 points of a possible 40.

Craig Revel Horwood said he found the performance “absolutely gorgeous”, with Darcey Bussell concurring: “It was that close to perfection.”
Len Goodman, meanwhile, delivered a more unorthodox critique, telling the pair: “Tickle my bum and call me Donald! Dancing is a marriage between music and movement. This was a match made in heaven.”

The ‘Call The Midwife’ actress’s high score means she’s once again cemented her place at the top of the ‘Strictly’ leaderboard, with Jay McGuiness and Georgia May Foote - who was the highest score for the second week in a row last week - just behind her.
Meanwhile, it was a slightly less exciting week for Peter Andre and Anita Rani, both of whom came in joint last place this week, with 31 points each.
This is the second time in a row that Peter has been the lowest scorer of the night, having previously been in the dance off against Jamelia during last Sunday’s show.
As if that wasn’t enough, he became at the centre of a storm, when Jamelia suggested the show was being unfairly edited in Peter’s favour, following her elimination, which both he and head judge Len Goodman have vehemently denied.
Find out which contestant will be the next to leave the dance floor for good in Sunday night’s ‘Strictly’ results show, at 7.20pm on BBC One.
