A Hungarian truck driver who filmed himself swerving towards refugees attempting to board lorries outside of Calais, has been called out as an "idiot" on social media as people call for him to have a "trial for attempted murder."
The video, posted on YouTube, shows the man as he makes a sharp turn towards the group as they walk along a dual carriageway.
Several people can be seen jumping out of the way of the heavy vehicle into a ditch along the side of the road.

The footage, which was widely shared across Facebook and Twitter, gained a backlash reaction from those on the networking sites:
Titled 'Calais Emigrants vs drivers and EUROPA', the video is more than 14 minutes long and shows the dozens of people walking along the roadside.
According to reported translations, the driver shouts a series of expletives at the passersby as he ploughs at them, including: “Come on then, f*** the lot of you!”
The video was posted by driver Á Levente Jeddi, who wrote several explanations in Hungarian criticising the behaviour of the migrants and refugees but expressing some regret that his actions have reached such a wide audience.
“The video recordings [were] originally made for my friends … [and] does not reflect my real personality, everyone who knows me knows,” he wrote in broken English under the video.
Speaking at the end of the footage, moving the camera to face himself, the driver smiles and says: “So, quite a trip, eh, these last six kilometres? The migrants have managed to divert me so much that I couldn’t get into the port parking area.
“Can you imagine what it’s like to be here in the evening, after the sun sets? Guys, don’t go to England from Calais. You get it...”
The YouTube video has been watched more than 2.3m times since it was posted last Wednesday.
