Adrian Laing

Adrian C. Laing is a legal and commercial consultant and writer.

Adrian Laing was educated at Hillhead High School, Glasgow and Exeter University (LL.B), completed his Bar Finals in 1979 and was enrolled as a solicitor in 2003. Adrian now practices as a legal and commercial consultant. Adrian's extensive industry experience includes: Director of Legal Affairs and Company Secretary, HarperCollins UK (1994 - 2001); Proprietor, Laing & Co (2003 - 2015); Consultant to Thames Television plc, Senior Broadcasting Lawyer (Hammonds, solicitors), Assistant Head of Licencing, ITC. Adrian was a practicing barrister (Tenant in 2 Pump Court, Inner Temple) prosecuting and defending in jury trials (1983 - 1987). Adrian studied with the French philosopher and historian Michel Foucault at the College de France, Paris (1979 - 1980). Adrian Laing is the co-author with Deborah Fosbrook of 'The Media and Business Contracts Handbook' (5th edition), 'The A - Z of Contract Clauses' (6th edition) and 'Copyright and Contract Drafting Skills' (1st edition), all Bloomsbury Professional; 'R.D. Laing: A Life' (Amazon Kindle) and the novel 'Rehab Blues' (Gibson Square).
