Deborah Poole

Partner at Walkers, the International Financial Centre law firm

Deborah Poole is based in Walkers' London office where she is a partner in the Global Hedge Fund and Private Equity Groups. She has in excess of 15 years’ experience in the offshore alternative investments industry and 23 years of Corporate and M&A post qualification experience. Deborah practises Cayman Islands and BVI law and, together with her colleagues, provides BVI and Jersey legal advice. She joined Walkers as a partner in 2006.

Deborah was a pupil at 2 Essex Court and then joined Ashurst in London, where she practised for 9 years before moving into the offshore legal sector in 1997. From 1997 to 2002, Deborah was based in Bermuda, specialising in alternative investment fund work, financings, debt issuances and general corporate and M&A law. Prior to joining Walkers, Deborah was a partner at another offshore law firm based initially in Bermuda and then in London.
