Horse Racing Consultant, Animal Aid

Dene has a lifetime's interest in horses, especially Thoroughbred race horses. He has worked for the UK campaign group Animal Aid for almost twenty years as their horse and horse racing consultant. Dene and Animal Aid's work has significantly raised the welfare and rights profile of race horses. His portfolio of work includes addressing MP's and Peers in the Westminster Parliament, local authority councils, as well as guest lecturing degree students who are looking for careers working with horses. He has written extensively on all aspects of horse welfare issues and has done countless media interviews with international, national and local TV, radio and press as well as numerous on-line features - often being the media's first port of call in relation to horse welfare. Dene lives in the north of England and
is married with three children, three rescued horses and a former shelter dog.
