Jerry Marshall

Chairman of AGAHST, economist & social entrepreneur

Jerry is a Cambridge University economics graduate, a Chartered Marketer and an enthusiastic entrepreneur.

He has been involved in creating social entrepreneurship since 1990, when he founded a social enterprise working with long term unemployed people (www.citee.co.uk ). Since then, he has established a technology company, (www.crtviewpoint.com) which became the largest provider of customer feedback systems to UK retailers and launched a number of businesses creating jobs, exports and links across the divide in Palestine.

As well as remaining active in helping entrepreneurs and investors in in Uganda, Ghana, Kazakhstan and UK, Jerry since December 2010 he has also been Chair of the AGAHST Federation (Action Groups Against High Speed Two), which co-ordinates the activities of 74 national and local groups opposing HS2 rail proposal and promoting better alternatives.

Jerry has spoken widely at UK and international conferences. He is married with three daughters and is actively involved in a vibrant Anglican church in Coventry, among other things establishing a popular ‘beer mat mentoring’ scheme for aspiring entrepreneurs.
