Michael Burton has been commentating on the UK's public sector for 25 years, and is editorial director of the UK's leading local government weekly news magazine, The MJ (Muniicipal Journal) and its website themj.co.uk

As well as writing and speaking at numerous public sector seminars he is in regular contact with many of the leading figures in the UK’s central and local government sectors and is currently writing a book on public sector reform.

His book The Politics of Public Sector Reform from Thatcher to the Coalition is being published by Palgrave Macmillan
