Sunder Katwala

Sunder Katwala is a writer and thinker with a focus on issues of identity and integration, migration, social justice and human rights. He is the director of a new organisation which will inform and deepen the public conversation around these issues, and which will be launched in the Autumn of 2011. He was previously General Secretary of the Fabian Society from 2003 until 2011, and has also worked as a journalist at The Observer (2001-3), as research director of The Foreign Policy Centre think-tank (1999-2001) and as a commissioning editor for the publisher Macmillan (1995-1999). He studied PPE at Jesus College, Oxford. He is happily married, and the proud father of three children, Zarina, Jay and Sonny. He tweets at @sundersays
