Tom Sperlinger

Reader in English Literature and Community Engagement at Bristol University

Tom Sperlinger teaches in the English Department at Bristol University, where he has devised an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Community Engagement, which has been running since 2008, and a Foundation Year in Arts and Humanities, which launched in 2013. He has teaching and research interests in the nineteenth- and 20th-century novel, poetry and story, and literature and adult education. Tom has published interviews with Doris Lessing and A.B. Yehoshua (in The Reader magazine) and has also contributed to The Guardian, The Times Higher and the Independent on Sunday. He is a co-editor of The Brodie Press and a former editor of Cottage Pie, the Fulham Supporters' Club magazine.
