'Slag'. 'Slut'. 'Sket'. 'Ting'. 'At-risk'. 'Vulnerable'. 'Exploited'. Whether you are listening to a group of young men discuss girls, or a professional working with young women, the labels are inescapable and pervasive.
SAHD, SAHM, single mum, working mum, gay dad, gay mum, LBGT mums and dads, single dads, stepdad, stepmum, divorced dad, divorced mum. This list is endless when describing what sort of mum or dad you are, although I have very rarely seen the term 'working dad'.


Let's be clear here, without malice or personal agenda. As trendy as it's becoming, veganism is not an exclusive club with membership rights. It is not a cult or a diet. It is a very clearly defined social justice movement that puts animal rights at its core.
Since becoming a disability rights campaigner, I have realised that my disability is the most important part of my personal identity, to me personally. So why can't I show that pride, that importance, by calling myself a disabled person with the same ease with which I call myself a woman or a Muslim?
LGBT activism must evolve and continue. A cause is only as strong as it's cavalry, and we are the LGBT army; our voices it's weapons. We can't afford to stay silent and hope that the rest of the world will fend for themselves - Your voice is like your vote. You must use it.
