You’ll probably recognise Rosamund Pike from her Oscar-nominated role as ‘Amazing Amy’ in the David Fincher-directed ‘Gone Girl’, but what you might not know is that’s only a small part of her ever-impressive bio.
Before taking on the role of Amy Eliot-Dunne, the British actress starred in movies like ‘Die Another Day’, where she played Bond girl Miranda Frost, as well as ‘Pride & Prejudice’, ‘Made In Dagenham’ and ‘Johnny English Reborn’.
However, it’s playing Ben Affleck’s on screen wife in ‘Gone Girl’ that has garnered her the most attention, not to mention a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, Academy Award and Bafta nomination in the Best Actress category.
Away from the spotlight, Rosamund has been with her partner, Robie Uniacke, since 2009. Together they have two sons, two-year-old Solo and a second baby boy, Atom, born in December 2014.
Future projects for Rosamund include providing the voice of Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward in a reboot of the children’s series ‘Thunderbirds’, which will hit TV screens later this year, titled ‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’ She’ll also be starring in ‘The Bends’ and as Ashley Knox in the romantic drama ‘The Mountain Between Us’, opposite Charlie Hunnam.
