Barney Jordaan

Professor of Law, Mediator and Director at LabourWise.

Barney Jordaan holds a doctorate in law from Stellenbosch University and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1982. He was professor of law at Stellenbosch University until 1997, when he left the university to practice as a labour law, employment relations and dispute resolution specialist, while also continuing with his teaching career. He currently teaches at a number of business and law schools schools in South Africa, Belgium and France. Barney is an internationally certified mediator and for many years served on the arbitration and mediation panels of the CCMA, Tokiso Dispute Settlement and various bargaining councils. He has published widely in the fields of labour law, negotiation and mediation.
