There's a need for us millennials to feel as if we’re caring for something other than ourselves at a time where making major life choices has to come later and later
When I'm not working full time at a digital agency in Leeds, UK, I'm enjoying crafts, plants, my sausage dog and my very own echo chamber.
I'd refrained from watching the programme when it's been on in the past thinking, "Jess, you're better than this. Get back onto Netflix where you're safe, where it's socially acceptable to be". But you know what? I dipped my toe into the proverbial pool and now I'm fully submerged. I've fallen deeper than Kem and Amber (yep; Love Island metaphor there, be prepared for more) and I don't even care.

With advances in technology probably the most likely to turn my head, I'm interested in the latter of these initiatives and having recently read a lot about how virtual reality, how this could be a huge step forward for the aging population. So in what ways could VR actually help the older people in the UK and across the world?

The new £1 coin comes into circulation in March this year and it is a striking example of how money is evolving and changing. The new coin is dubbed one of the most secure in the world due to a string of security features which are aimed at reducing the risk of counterfeit coins being produced.

Of course, the internet helps here. We see so much than anyone else before us. Videos on Facebook are thrust in our face as we scroll, Instagram shows thousands of pictures from around the world with a single hashtag and Twitter allows us to see the opinions of those with different lifestyles. We're an accommodating generation who want to do and feel as much as they can.

And no, I'm not joking. Vaping has become a sport. It's not new thing either, having risen to prominence in the West Coast of the U.S with the inception of e-cigarettes in 2007 and is now widespread throughout America. Since some of the world's top sportsmen and women are showcasing themselves in Rio right now, I thought I'd delve into this bizarre world and look at some of the 'athletes' this particular 'sport' has to offer.

I was in London recently for Harry Potter And The Cursed Child; spoiler alert - it was fabulous! I came back to Leeds like a wizard who had just caught his first Golden Snitch. Giddier than a Weasley in Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop. As excitable as Hagrid when the loveable Fang runs through the forest and into his giant arms. Like a...well, you get the picture.

I've been thinking about moving abroad for years. I've often looked out of my office window and wistfully dreamt of finally doing my Masters in California, reuniting with my friends in Amsterdam, or going to work with giraffes in Kenya. Anything to take my mind off of the dire weather we so often face in England and I can't get away from.

What's more, if England, Wales, or Northern Ireland win their group, the joy could resonate into feeling good being part of Europe. Lose of course, and that changes the mood. Nothing does this quite like football. You can guarantee that the English national team will have a say on how people vote come June 23, win, lose, or draw.

People love sausage dogs; they're hilarious, they're adorable and they're very on trend. As a Miniature Dachshund owner myself, as well as a long time lover of the breed, I've found it somewhat amusing to see the amount of Dachshund related products circulate the market lately.

An Oscar award win doesn't make Leonardo DiCaprio a great actor, nor is it the only way in which his acting is proved to have a profound effect people. Since the release of The Revenant and the obvious Oscar hype that came after it, I've been thinking a lot about him and his movies...

EDM itself has taken hold of America and turned itself into a £4billion global industry. This is not sustainable. No genre is. The difference with EDM compared to dubstep, breaks or electric house though is that even the main players are calling out its death. Tiesto, Steve Aoki and others have openly said it can't survive.
