‘Born in Kabul in 1986, Mohammed Subhan grew up under the Taliban regime. In his early teens Subhan and his family fled to Pakistan, where Subhan attended high school and the University of Peshawar. Since 2007 Subhan has lived in Kabul, teaching part time for a university and working as a translator and cultural advisor for a number of NGOs.
