Raffaella is a final year social anthropology student at King’s College, Cambridge, and Comment Editor at Varsity. She has undertaken research in Zimbabwe focusing on sexuality, economic development, and the hopes of young people. Her other interests include news coverage of the developing world in the Western media, conspiracy theories, and liberal politics. Raffaella is the founder of The Marianne Foundation, a non-profit organisation that supports innovative, grassroots educational organisations in Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. She has travelled to over 35 countries, and blogged extensively about these experiences. She hopes to go on complete a PhD in anthropology.
