You know you want to be happy and you know it's important for your wellbeing. However, you're confused and unclear about how to actually get to happiness. This isn't surprising as there are so many myths and messages being shouted from the rooftops.
As the Happyologist®, the most common question I get asked is, "<em>Are you always happy?</em>". To this, I confidently respond, "<em>No, I'm human</em>." It took me years to fully understand this question and to respond to it confidently. Why? Because I, just like the rest of society, had totally misunderstood what happiness is.

Valentine's Day is here and you might be frantically thinking about how to show your loved one you care. Or perhaps you're waiting with excitement what they will do for you to surprise you. There's nothing wrong with either of those scenarios - unless you start to let your expectations influence the happiness and love you feel.
Black Friday marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. It also often marks the beginning of pre-Christmas panic. All of a sudden Christmas is less than 4 weeks away and there is a lot to do. The urgency and chaos that Black Friday creates doesn't help you to feel confident about the situation - in fact it makes you panic even more.
Stop yourself right there. Don't let yourself go down into a spiral of negativity as the deeper you go, the harder it will be to get out. Stop yourself before you even start on that downwards path. You know you're working hard and you're getting things done. You just struggle to get them done in the amount of time you'd like to get them done in.
